Edward Cullen: Edward and Bella share a very deep love that will someday bring Bella into the Cullen family permanently. In Twilight, their relationship grows from lab partners to soulmates and in New Moon, Edward leaves, feeling it is the best for Bella's safety. Upon realizing his mistake, Edward returns and the two patch up their romance almost immediately. Eclipse shows their battle between a newborn army and Bella's conflicting feelings for Jacob Black, despite this, the two's relationship is set in stone and the two decide to marry in Breaking Dawn. Bella becomes pregnant on their honeymoon and upon the birth of their child, Renesmee, she is transformed into a vampire and begins living with Edward, Renesmee and the rest of the Cullens.


Alice Cullen: From the very beginning, Alice has been a firm believer that Bella will one day be part of their family. In early days, Alice saw a vision of the future to come - Bella as a vampire. Since then, she has always been by Bella's side even when Edward was a little apprehensive to start with. Acting as her wildly animated and fashion-loving sister, Alice carts Bella along like a little doll, dressing her up and getting her into situations Bella's not exactly used to.


Jasper Hale: Jasper took a firm stand, with Rosalie, against Bella joining the family initially. Mainly this was due to his weak control of his vampire thirst. In Twilight, he accompanied Alice in looking after Bella while they hid out in a hotel in Phoenix. He also was able to soothe Bella with his control over emotions. It wasn't until New Moon that Jasper's control finally broke when Bella accidentally cut her finger; ashamed, he recoiled from all close contact with Bella, vividly remembering how he very nearly killed her. Despite this, he voted 'yes' for her transformation, claiming that he would like 'not wanting to kill' her all the time. Jasper shares his origins with Bella in Eclipse, and in Breaking Dawn feels very frustrated that Bella doesn't seem to have the same problems as he does with controlling her thirst. It is clear, however, that Jasper does care for Bella, as he tells her in Twilight that she is 'worth it'.


Rosalie Hale: At first, Rosalie is completely against the introduction of Bella to her family and their secret. It is unclear why this is at first, but later explained that she doesn't want that sort of life for Bella and that she wishes someone had been there to vote 'no' for her. Rosalie is naturally guarded emotionally and apprehensive to allow newcomers into her life, she can be jealous and a little selfish at times but deep down she has a soft spot. Rosalie's first act of 'kindness' comes in New Moon, where she apologizes to both Edward and Bella for her behaviour. In Eclipse, she reveals to Bella the nature of her vampire transformation and the reasons behind it, the first indications that the two are beginning to bond. It isn't until Breaking Dawn that Rosalie and Bella become firm friends; upon Bella's pregnancy with Renesmee. Rosalie proves herself to be a fierce guardian and hard-hearted friend.


Emmett Cullen: Emmett has always been supportive of Bella, though not as flamboyantly as Alice. He acts as her 'older, goofier big brother' and can often been seen poking fun at his adoptive sister's clumsy ways. In the movie, New Moon, Emmett votes 'hell yeah' upon Bella becoming a permanent part of the family and fellow vampire. He also agrees to participate in an 'arm-wrestle' with the newly transformed Bella in Breaking Dawn. Although Emmett is almost always never-serious, when it comes to taking action and protecting Bella and his family, he becomes a major threat.


Esme Cullen: Esme is thrilled that Edward is finally happy when he first begins his relationship with Bella. Esme is the last member of the Cullen family that Bella has yet to meet in Twilight, and she instantly feels warmth radiating from the motherly figure. Esme remarks in the New Moon film that Bella 'already feels like one of the family', therefore voting 'yes' for her vampire transformation and position in the family. She has always been nothing less than kind to Bella.


Carlisle Cullen: Carlisle first meets Bella when she is admitted to hospital after the car accident in Twilight. He, like Esme, is happy that Edward has found happiness through Bella although he allows Edward to choose what he feels is best for her rather than interfering. In New Moon he remarks that Edward has 'already decided not to live without her' and votes 'yes', agreeing to perform the transformation on Bella himself if Edward is unable to do so. Bella and Carlisle share a moment together in the same book after the birthday accident, where Bella tells Carlisle she is a firm believer on him not 'going to hell'. Carlisle seems to appreciate the notion very much and it is clear that both admire each other very much. Carlisle tells Bella he's noticed how accepting she's been towards them.
